Join the ScoutDog Studios Team to Walk to Cure Canine Cancer

31 Aug 2009 by admin, 2 Comments »

Scout, a german shepherd-rottweiler mix, lost her battle with cancer 2 years ago. She is also the inspiration for my art and work at ScoutDog Studios. The ScoutDog Studios Team is raising money for Canine Cancer in honor of Scout the Dog. Please help in the mission to raise money and treatments for dogs diagnosed with cancer.

Thank you for joining our team to raise money and awareness toward canine cancer. And even if you can join us in person you can join the team for a virtual walk. If you want to join the team in person or virtually, please email me at bark@scoutdogstudios.com so that I add your name to the team page.

K9K Walk to Cure Canine Cancer

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Early registration fee: $25 adults
Walk-day registration: $30 adults and $10 children (10+ years)

One in four dogs will die of cancer-it is the No. 1 cause of death in dogs over the age of 2. Human Cancer Walks are a very successful way of rallying support and effectively raising money to fund research. We think our dogs deserve the same hope for a better future. Come out and join us and support canine cancer research.

Walk with or without a dog, for all or portion of the nearly 4 mile Lake Estes Trail. After the walk, visit vendors and listen to experts discuss cancer prevention, research and treatment and how to be an advoate for your dog’s health.

Join us for a K9K Walk to Cure Canine Cancer benefiting Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign. 100 percent of walk registrations and donations will be donated to the cause.

Morris Animal Foundation has launched an unprecedented $30 million effort to cure canine cancer within a dog’s lifetime – the next 10 to 20 years. MAF launched the Canine Cancer Campaign with the goal of preventing and curing canine cancer, while also finding treatments for dogs suffering from the disease now. At the heart of the campaign is a commitment to the highest research standards, so we can launch a focused and strategic effort to end the great suffering that cancer creates for dogs and the families who love them.
